Said or written

The same working day, twice, with the same people coming and going. On the left you say a message aloud in the meeting room. On the right you write it on a note on the door. One person, outlined, is the one it's meant for.

Notes

Speech spreads in every direction at once, reaches whoever happens to be near, leaks a little through the walls, and is gone. Writing stays where you put it and reaches only those who come close enough to read it, but it keeps reaching them all day, including people who weren't there when you wrote it. Speech leaks in space; writing leaks in time.

The people are a seeded random day, so both rooms see exactly the same comings and goings. Turn the loudness up and more people overhear; make the writing bigger and it's read from further off.
